Sanitation restores girls’ dignity and confidence in Ethiopia

WaterAid Ethiopia advocates for inclusive access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in schools to help keep girls in education and unlock their full potential.
As part of this initiative, a total of ten cubicles, one resting room for girls to use during menstruation, a waste disposal facility to dispose of used sanitary products and a water supply tank have been completed by WaterAid Ethiopia at a school in Addis Ababa.
Prior to the intervention, the school used to only have one toilet block with eight cubicles for use by more than 670 students and over 60 staff.
