Justice Begins Here

The major challenges of our time - poverty, gender inequality, poor health, climate change are deeply intertwined with water and sanitation. When communities lack sanitation services, girls who are menstruating must stay home from school, and infectious disease is more likely to spread. No water means no food, and no way to practise proper hygiene.

Started by the Sanitation and Water for All global partnership, the Justice Begins Here campaign raises awareness that clean water and the ability to live free from the dangers of poor sanitation and hygiene are not privileges: they are fundamental human rights.
